Black Hawk Down

There are many lessions to be learned from this event/book, modern military tactics where adapted and changed by the lessions of this mission. In the story the rangers are gearing up for what they expect to be a short 30 min mission, since they expected it to be swift and easy they droped things like thier, NODS (night vision), Extra water, extra ammo, the steel plate in thier Kevlar vests ect. These mistakes come make to haunt them, the mission lasts near 24 hrs, they lack water they are running out of ammo and one of thier biggest advantages over the somalies thier night vision isnt there to help. ulitmatly a perfect military disaster but they learned from it.
